Welcome to the San Francisco City Academy recruitment team outreach guide. Before you begin reading about this outreach, we’d like to make sure you know what you need to about San Francisco’s inner city by visiting the Backstory Page.
What is it?
SFCA is a private, Christian, K-8 school as a part of City Impact’s ministries. We are looking to spread awareness about our school and get our name out to the kids of the Tenderloin! Our vision is to greatly expand the school in these next few years, with many new students, teachers, and improvements.
The SFCA recruitment team is here to love on the kids of the Tenderloin at our events and engage with parents in conversations about their kids and our school! One of the main purposes of our school is to display the love of Christ for our students, and we want to be well known amongst the parents and kids of the TL as a safe place to grow and thrive academically, socially, spiritually, and physically.
As a part of the SFCA recruitment team, you will report to the Kids’ Carnival after the morning session. As you arrive, your City Impact leader will assign you to a specific duty either for the morning or for a rotational session. These jobs include handing out flyers, talking with parents and kids, cheering on our school, and more.
We believe that your energy for recruitment and joy and love on these families will win the trust and friendship of the people you serve, and their enrollment in the school will be a mere bonus. You can change the course of someone’s day here, maybe even their life.
